Boys U14 Development Game

Aylesbury U14 boys hosted Southgate for one of the most exciting games so far this season. For some of the younger boys this was their first game on a full sized pitch but every one of them was more than up for the challenge. Southgate always field a strong side but Aylesbury matched up well against them. Aylesbury started well and took the Southgate team by surprise dominating the game for the first 10 minutes culminating in a goal for Chris McIntyre. Southgate responded well and the play was end to end. Shortly before half time the scored was evened through a penalty corner. The midfield links from Jack Sloan, Charlie Shipperley and Chris McIntyre meant that Aylesbury's goalkeeper was rarely troubled. Aylesbury failed to capitalise on a number of opportunities but finally sealed victory with a well earned goal for Jack Sloan set up by Charlie Shipperley. A well deserved 2-1 victory for the U14 Boys.

Under 8s

Aylesbury U8s took part in the latest round of Bucks Mini on Sunday, ably hosted by Buckingham Ladies Hockey Club.

Aylesbury U8s entered 2 teams that saw them pit their wits against High Wycombe and Tring.  Both Aylesbury teams performed really well in all their round-robin matches. Such was the strength of both Aylesbury teams, it was clear that their hardest match of the day was against each other.  There were plenty of goals shared out throughout both teams along with some terrific defending.  But most pleasing to see was the quality of passing and unselfish play that meant all the victories were a real team performance.

Teams: Jeremy Kiely, Ollie Hassall, Owen Heale, Jai Fitzwalter, Ben Lindars, Christian Collins, Eliza Riggs, Jorrell Pascal, Ethan Johnson.
