Only the Ladies 4th XI had a league match this weekend and unfortunately went down 9-0 away from home at Oxford University. Despite the opposition's dominance, Aylesbury did not give up and continued to battle throughout the 70 minutes. Notable huge efforts were made by Lauren Thomas and Meghan Howitt and Aylesbury Man of the Match was Hannah Huggins. Although the score line is disappointing for the team, consolation is taken from the fact that this is the team's first season together and each game will help the team learn and build together for the future.

The 1st and 3rd XIs fared better. The 1st XI played away at Bicester, which was always expected to be a tough match. This season, Bicester have not conceded a single goal and are top of the division that Aylesbury got promoted from last year. Aylesbury commanded the game throughout resulting in goals from Tash and captain Cat Donald. Deservedly 2-nil to Aylesbury was final score.

The Ladies 3rd XI again played a friendly match, at home against Broxbourne. Aylesbury started the game with instant domination and within 5 minutes had scored their 1st goal through Becky Louth. Aylesbury continued to play well and were rewarded with a second goal from Liz Brooks. Broxbourne then had a couple of breaks but were unable to break down the solid Aylesbury defence. Aylesbury then attacked again and were awarded a penalty corner which ended with a goal from Kelly Marsh. In the 2nd half Broxbourne came back and had several attacks but yet again weren't strong enough to break down the Aylesbury defence. Aylesbury's passing quality was then awarded with another goal from Naomi Smith who had played an outstanding game on the right wing. There were several opportunities at each end but Aylesbury's strength overpowered the opposition with Kelly Marsh scoring her 2nd goal of the day. Aylesbury had two Players of the Match, Becky Louth and Naomi Smith.
