First game of the year for the mighty thirds who because of availability were made up of colts and veterans. Veteran Blest arrived after completing his normal 3 km Saturday swim and took his place in central midfield alongside his best friend Paul Sleeter

Amersham started well and bossed the first 20 minutes of the game beating keeper Skinner at his near post. Skinner was in good form kicking well as old boy Charlie Carrington guided the attackers into that careless extra touch. The younger Kiely impressed throwing longer aerials than a bloke with the same name in the twos

Then the surge came. Aylesbury injected pace through the younger element and goals followed from newboy Smith, Sam Hobbs and Ed Gurney. Amersham weren't finished broke twice and it was suddenly all level

Cometh the moment cometh the player Ben Lindars crosses for Richie Chappell and Aylesbury win the game.
