The mighty 3rds took on local rivals Marlow on Saturday in a late start by the river. Aylesbury demonstrated their fitness by using the time well with various training sessions including Jon smith leading the way cycling to the game

Despite this rigour the thirds started slowly and whilst defensively sound in the first half failed to hold the ball for long periods of time. Ed gurney showed good pace, Mike battye showed he had played at a decent level a few years ago and then there was dave skinner. Man of the match for both his direction and his shot stopping

Despite all this Aylesbury went in one nil down at the break An inspirational team talk from captain Moseley changed the course of the game and the mighty thirds dominated the second period. The equaliser coming though right at the end from veteran Richie Chappell
