24.09.16 Milton Keynes 4's 5 Aylesbury 3's 2

In the last friendly before the league season Aylesbury didn’t turn up for the second half and turned a promising 2-2 at the break into a disappointing loss to their local rivals It had all started well with goals from Gilles Hurd and Jeremy Kiely but as the game went on a number of players lost their legs and found it harder to boss the play. The exception being Paul Slater (fresh from his fishing trip near Aberdeen) in midfield who covered a huge amount of ground, Dave Skinner despite his flu like symptoms did well between the sticks and veteran Carrington also will be pleased with his outing, lasting 40 minutes before needing a break. Next week the league starts and Aylesbury are on their travels again to Henley
