Leicester never played half of the Southern Hemisphere so this game doesn’t’ count - we are still going to be Champions

Aylesbury traveled to what they thought was Chiswick, London. This was until however, Aylesbury saw their opponents were mainly from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa (clearly showing Chisiwick’s home grown player policy is alive and kicking). Aylesbury’s suspicions that they weren’t actually in London (and were playing in Sydney, Australia) were further compounded when, Kipper overheard the Chiswick team talk and kept on hearing phrases such as, ‘yeah mate, last night I threw another Shrimp on the barbie’, 'Bouncer was a right pain last night' and ‘let’s go and smash those Pommie's’. This did not bode well.

As to the game, Aylesbury started well and Austin Greenlee arrowed in a drag flick to give Ay’s the lead. Dan Lindars (still recovering from his pub golf hangover and the rollicking from Julie and Ben) scored a second for Aylesbury but a moment of sheer frustration from Kipper (critics are saying that his anniversary wasn’t going very well and he was well, a little frustrated (Mary was unavailable for comment to confirm or deny this) which led to his petulant outburst) threw his toys out of the pram and got sent off. This cost Aylesbury the game and we went down 5-2. Kipper was duly awarded DOD and to his credit pulled it off with aplomb despite certain pre-wearers of the outfit 'stretching' it somewhat.....

Good games were once again had from Ollie ‘Sideshow Bob’ Hassall and Ben ‘who needs Sam when you have got Virgin hostesses’ Ireson. Mark ‘King of Dwarfs’ Bowes was still short but had a good game. Gregory offered nothing again apart from really boring farming/pumpkin chat. Special mention goes to Aylesbury’s Italian international Tiziano who had a great game at the back despite not being able to understand a word Steve ever said to him.

Oli Patterson still has not quite grasped the fact that the aim of the game is to keep the ball on the pitch but he is starting to show some of the promise following his big money transfer from Durham University. Captain Best has actually started to look like a goalkeeper agian and used his pads to keep the ball out and is showing why he is going to be so important for Aylesbury this year.

All credit to Chiswick, they were a very good side who played the game hard but fair and are likely to challenge this season so Aylesbury can hold their heads up high going into the game against Eastcote next Saturday.
