Aylesbury 2s v Henley

Aylesbury travelled to Henley who were sitting second in the table having not lost at home all season.

Aylesbury started the game well and dominated the first half. Forward Jorrell Pascal caused the Henley defenders a number of problems and Aylesbury won a number of short corners which they failed to convert. Matt Kiely and Dave How each hit the post in the first half but Aylesbury could not break the deadlock before half time.

In the second half, Aylesbury finally made the breakthrough following a superb strike from midfielder Paul Slater. This was quickly followed by a short corner strike by Dave How on his 49th birthday. Aylesbury comfortably held on to a 2 nil victory to take them to within 3 points of the promotion places. Man of the match went to Pascal.
