The mighty thirds traveled to Eastcote on Saturday...not being sure how many players would arrive with one player stuck in Brussels, another needing to complete a triatholon in Newmarket and two players injured through excessive training efforts in the week

Not surprisingly the team started slowly with debutants Christian and Liam being the exceptions. At 3 -0 down it was time to do something different. Ali Blest took control passing the ball left and right ‎- at times finding Aylesbury players, but that wasn't important. Ali single handedly drove Aylesbury forward and a neat Interchange with veteran Giles left Michael Battye convert well past a good Eastcote stopper

With the momentum turning Aylesbury dominated play throughout the second half but two breakaway goals saw Eastcote home as easy winners. A sad Aylesbury keeper Dave Skinner reflecting on the game said 'we played well and it would have been a different result if we scored more goals than them'
