Aylesbury 3s v Sonning

Men's 3s travelled to Sonning really needing a win. Aylesbury started strongly keeping the ball in Sonning's half for much of the first 10 minutes before Sonning got won a couple of short corners that they thankfully failed to convert. Aylesbury took the lead when their first short corner was converted by Phill Collins. Pretty much immediately from the restart Aylesbury attacked again with Phill Collins crossing to Ed Gurney who was unlucky to see his shot saved by the keeper. The clearance fell to Craig Quilter but his shot was also saved only for Richard Chappell to pick up the rebound to pass into the empty net to make it 2-0. Going into the second half Aylesbury were desperate to start strongly to maintain their advantage and could Collins extended the lead to 3-0. From there Aylesbury attacked at pace and defended strongly before Gurney scored the 4th with a well taken deflection at the back post to leave the final score 4 nil.
