Aylesbury ladies 1st XI, travelled to Marlow for a late pushback and their 6th game of the season.
Marlow 3s started with guns blazing in the first 10 minutes, attacking aggressively and creating opportunities; luckily for us they did not manage to capitalise.
After finding our feet, Aylesbury started to play with some fluidity with Kiera Foster getting us the first goal. With the lead, Aylesbury became more confident and won a PC which put Beth Upton on the score sheet. We continued with our dominance on the pitch and it wasn’t long before we got a third goal from Lucy Robson. Unfortunately, we could not maintain a clean sheet despite heroic dives by Jessica Bougouneau, Marlow volleyed in their first goal. With only a few minutes to the end of the first half, Aylesbury won another PC which Voirrey Holmes converted giving us the lead 4-1 at half time.
In the second half, Marlow stepped up their game and put Aylesbury under tremendous pressure. However, Aylesbury remained calm and stuck to their game play, with Keira and Voirrey both getting their second goals in the second half.
Final score 6-1 with Aylesbury now sitting at the top of the league ?
