Are Leicester Sunderland on disguise?

Aylesbury welcomed Eastcote to RAF Halton in what Skysports were billing as one not to miss….

Aylesbury were bolstered by the considerable weight (but certainly not height) of Alex ‘I love Five Guys’ Furness and his fellow dwarf Andy Mac was welcomed back into the fold. We did not start well as Bowes and Kipper decided to stop and let Eastcote have a free shot which went in in the first minute. Eastcote went 2 nil up shortly after. Following another faking of injury to Ben ‘I got pied from my latest Tinder date because I think I love someone from AHC too much’ Ireson, the game stopped for a couple of minutes. This brought about the best point of the game. Hunter, having run all of 50 metres in the first 15 minutes was a little hot and decided to take his under-shirt off. Much to his surprise, Umpire S commented on Hunter’s impressive frame (he has been going to the gym after all). Hunter’s work was done, he had pulled (Ben – if you want any tips, just let me know) and this obviously side tracked him for the rest of the day because he was once again as effective as Paul Gregory on a diet.*

In the second half, youngster Lindars scored a reverse stick strike and stole a goal from Austin (who has put a bounty on Lindars’ head for the poach) but this wasn’t enough and we went down 4-2. Good games were had by 60 year old Usherwood and Oli P who ran around….a lot. Gregory and Graham once again offered nothing. The score line perhaps didn’t reflect the game but we did play well for large parts.

After the game, captain Best mysteriously got lost in RAF Halton’s Bermuda triangle when he was walking between the pitch and the changing room (all of 5 yards). Rumour has it that Best had been sighted going into Mary’s house on Sunday (these reports are yet to be confirmed and Kipper is yet to comment).

Despite struggling with results this season, team spirit has remained high. Many people believe this is down to the fact BFFs Kipper and Hunter are in the team. This is certainly not down to the fact that Gregory is in the team (it took him all of 10 seconds to mention his pumpkins and the fact that Rose has banned him from using the iPad at bath time).

Our opponents were a good bunch to play against and the game was played in a well spirited manor. We look forward to trying to turn the tables on them in the second half of the season.

*Special mention goes to Mark ‘King of Dwarfs’ Bowes who sent Hunter a pick me up text on Saturday night – thanks Bowesy.
