Aylesbury’s first team travelled to Oxford for their first league game following the Christmas break. Aylesbury started the first half well and created a number of chances through Oli Patterson and Rob Machin. Oxford scored half way through the first half following a defensive error by the Aylesbury backline. Aylesbury hit back almost immediately with a goal from Dan Lindars to go in at the break 1 all. In the second half, Oxford began to dominate and despite a number of chances from Aylesbury, Oxford scored 2 further goals to run out 3-1 victors. Aylesbury can take a lot of heart going into next week’s crucial game against Chiswick at RAF Halton.
