Aylesbury travelled to Wallingford in a match that was key for both teams in terms of league survival. Aylesbury started the game brilliantly and dominated the opening 20 minutes. Aylesbury were deservedly rewarded following a fine goal from Rob Machin. Aylesbury’s lead was soon doubled by midfielder Oli Patterson with a neat finish. Wallingford pulled a goal back just before half time to make it 2-1. In the second half Wallingford came out fighting and scored two quick goals to make the game 3-2 going into the final 15 minutes. Aylesbury never gave up and man of the match Oli Hassell scored a well worked short corner to make the score 3 all. Hassell had a chance to win the game for Aylesbury but hit the post in the last 5 minutes and striker Austin Greenlee narrowly missed with the last shot of the game. Aylesbury took away a well-deserved point to keep them just outside of the relegation places.
