Aylesbury travelled to Banbury hoping to build on last week’s victory over Reading.
Aylesbury started slowly and soon found themselves 1 nil down following a Banbury penalty stroke. This didn’t unsettle Aylesbury who then proceeded to dominate the first half. Numerous chances were created by Oli Patterson and Paul Gregory and Aylesbury were level following a fantastic finish from youngster Ben Lindars. At the half time break the score was 1-1.
In the second half, Aylesbury went 2-1 up following a calm finish from midfielder James Gilbert. Aylesbury then proceeded to lose their discipline and received a number of green and yellow cards. Banbury scored two quick fire goal do go 3-2 up with only a couple of minutes left to play. Aylebury equalised through Patterson following good work by Matt Hinge. The final score ended 3 all and the point moved Aylesbury to the top of the table. Man of the match was awarded to Lindars.
