In a top versus bottom clash, Aylesbury welcomed Oxford to RAF Halton.
Aylesbury boasted their strongest squad of the season and started the game well causing the Oxford defence a number of problems. The pressure told and Stu Grey fired into the bottom corner to give Aylesbury the lead. The lead was soon doubled following a Chris McIntyre strike. Midfielder Matt Hinge scored a superb team goal and striker Austin Greenlee added a fourth leaving Aylesbury 4-0 up going into half time.
To their credit, Oxford came out fighting in the second half as Aylesbury took their foot off the gas. Oxford scored three goals but Paul Gregory finished the game off with a cool finish to leave the final score 5-3. The win kept Aylesbury at the top of the league.
Next week Aylesbury travel to Oxford Hawks.
