The men’s 1s put in one of their most spirited performances of the season away at league leaders Witney.
Aylesbury started well and pressed the Witney defence with James Gilbert and Oli Patterson having several clear chances. Witney then broke away at the other end and scored to make the score 1 nil. Aylesbury were soon on level terms after top scorer Paul Gregory slotted home a short corner. The scores were 1 all at half time.
In the second half Aylesbury created a number of chances but failed to convert. Unfortunately Witney scored two quick-fire goals with 10 minutes left and won the game 3-1. A very spirited performance from Aylesbury. Man of the match went to goalkeeper Tom Blowfield for an outstanding performance between the posts. Next week Aylesbury play a local derby versus Tring.
