Men’s 1XI v Banbury

The men’s 1s welcomed Banbury to RAF Halton. Aylesbury put in one of their most polished performances of the season so far and dominated the game from start to finish. Numerous chances were created by midfielders James Gilbert, Oli Hassall and man of the match Ben Lindars but Aylesbury finally broke the deadlock following a scrappy short corner goal scored by Rob Machin. Aylesbury doubled their lead shortly afterwards when forward Will Ebsworth fired a low shot passed the Banabury goalkeeper.

In the second half, Aylesbury controlled the game and scored a third through Ebsworth. The game finished 3 nil to Aylesbury who moved up to 4th in the table with a game in hand which, if they win, would move them top. Aylesbury travel to Reading next Saturday.
