The men’s 1s continued their brilliant start to the seasons with a tight 4-3 victory versus South Berkshire. Aylesbury started poorly and were soon 1 nil down following a South Berkshire short corner. Aylesbury coon equalised following a Will Ebsworth drag flick. South Berkshire then scored a second shortly after. Ebsworth scored a superb individual goal by roofing the ball in the goal to leave the scores at 2 all at half time. Following a tough team talk from coach Rob Machin, Aylesbury came out firing in the second half and dominates South Berkshire throughout the pitch. Christian Collins scored his debut goal for the first team and Ebsworth completed his hat trick with a cleverly deflected goal. South Berkshire did score a third late on but Aylesbury held out for the win and remained at the top of the table.
Next week Aylesbury travel to Milton Keynes.
