The men’s 1s welcomed Marlow in their final league game before the Christmas break. Marlow were sitting fourth in the table. Aylesbury started well and caused the Marlow defence problems but Aylesbury missed a number of guilt edged chances. The deadlock was final broken when Andy Macintyre capitlaised on a loose ball in the D to fire the ball into the bottom corner. Marlow came back strongly and scored with a short corner to leave the scores 1 all going into half time.
In the second half, Aylesbury upped the temp and once again created chances. Forward Chris Macintyre scored a well worked team goal to give Aylesbury the lead. Stand in goalkeeper Dave Skinner made a number of key saves to deny Marlow and Aylesbury held out for a 2-1 victory. The win moved Aylesbury 6 points clear at the top of the league in which they are unbeaten this year.
