The men’s 1XI welcomed West Hampstead to RAF Halton. With a number of players missing, Aylesbury could only field a squad of 12 against the second placed team in the league.
Aylesbury put in a strong first half performance and were soon 1 nil up following a Will Ebsworth short corner. West Hampstead equalised just before the break to make the scores level at half time. In the second half, West Hampstead came out firing and went 2-1 up following a defensive error. Ebsworth equalised once again but the heat and lack of substitutions cost Aylesbury as they conceded in the last minute with lots of tired legs. Aylesbury lost the game 3-2 but are still two points clear at the top of the table
Next week, Aylesbury travel to the always tough South Berkshire.
