The men’s 1XI travelled to league leaders Wycombe in a crucial match for the season. The first half did not go to plan for Aylesbury following consistent pressure from Wycombe, Wycombe took the lead following a scrappy short corner who then doubled their lead shortly after from open play.
Aylesbury were a different team in the second half and dominated large parts of the game. Forward Austin Greenlee pulled a goal back. Aylesbury pressed for the equaliser and missed a couple of guilt edged changes through Ed Atkins and Chris McIntyre. Unfortunately Aylesbury failed to equalise and Wycombe scored a third and final goal in the dying minutes to leave the final score 3-1 to Wycombe.
On Saturday, Aylesbury welcome Wallingford to RAF Halton.
