Aylesbury Ladies 1s won 5-2 against Henley

Aylesbury Ladies 1s won 5-2 against Henley in our second league game of the season. We got off to a slow start and some decisions didn't go our way, so Henley scored the first goal of the game ?. Elisa Woodford shortly equalised from a superb drag flick from one of our short corners. After half time, Angela Dickson got a sneaky goal and we were feeling slightly happier. However, Henley then rained on our parade by equalising to make the score 2-2. After some petulance from Elisa and Hannah Pigott, Beth Upton woke up (and actually did what she was supposed to on a short corner) and set up an excellent goal for Olivia Robson. In the final 10 minutes Kristyn scored another great goal and Elisa scored another sneaky drag flick. Man of the match - Angela Dickson for running her little socks off. DOD - Beth Upton for arguing with our captain, our coach and most of the team, and then realising she was wrong (a rare occurrence). Final score 5-2 to A's, who are now TOP OF THE LEAGUE YIPPEE! Special shout out to Elisa who is now top goal scorer in our league ?
This week's teas were provided by Hannah & Elisa. It was a spaghetti bolognese dish (minus the cheese). Temperature was acceptable, carrots were a tad crunchy but overall it was quite tasty. Rated a 6/10 ??
